VLC Media Player, one of the largest media players on PC, has returned to the iOS appstore after an almost 3 year hiatus. After initially only lasting in there for a few weeks, one of the original developers of the software complained and had it removed. VLC is so popular due to its ability to play almost any video format, and with the closed-down nature of iOS this could potentially be a very useful app. There are also several new features to the app, rather than just a re-submit: syncing via Wi-Fi and Dropbox, and downloading files from the internet. The app is available in New Zealand and Australia now, and will hopefully be available soon Worldwide.
