‘Too early for a Vita price cut’

Sony have announced that it is too early for a worldwide price cut of the company’s newest handheld.

Many gaming experts believed, and possibly hoped, that Sony would announce a price cut for the PlayStation Vita at their E3 conference, however nothing was said about it with the conference mainly focusing on games. When talking to Eurogamer at E3, Shuhei Yoshida, the president of SCE Worldwide Studios said that their current focus is “to increase the content and to realise the potential of the system.” However he did say that price is obviously and issue that they may need to address in the future. The console has had a price drop of €50 in France until July 15, however.
