The PlayStation Vita TV will not release in the West anytime soon, according to Sony Computer Entertainment president Andrew House.
The system plays PS Vita games and can also stream PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 games to a second TV screen, is targeted to three Asian regions at present, with no set plans for a release in the West.
“SCE will release the PS Vita TV in Japan Nov 14, 2013 and in other countries after that,” House said during a roundtable discussion as reported by Tech On.
“The reason why it will be launched in Japan earlier than in other countries is that there is no leading company in Japan’s video streaming market. The company is planning to sell the PS Vita TV in China, South Korea, etc, but not in the US and European market at this point.”
For people wondering about PS Vita TV outside Japan, we are just saying now "PS Vita TV releasing first in Japan". Stay tuned.
