Hit your phone to silence it

Microsoft has patented a technology where you hit your phone to silence it.

Have you ever wanted to hit your phone because it has went off when you didn’t want it to? If so, then you will want Microsoft to integrate this feature into a future phone, the patent literally shows a hand “whacking” a device to shut it up. The patent – number 20120231838 – says “When a user whacks the mobile device, the mobile device accelerates in response to the user whack.”

This would be great for me, that’s for sure, you don;t know how angry I get when my phone goes off!
