ComScore have released their latest figures on the US smartphone market share, putting Android at first place with 52 percent, and Apple at 33 percent. This is great news for Google who have gone up 1.4 percent in the last month, but Apple has actually gone up 2.0 percent.
RIM, Symbian and Microsoft are all down. RIM down 2.1, Microsoft down 0.4 and Symbian down 0.5 percent.
Apple and HTC are the only companies to gain marketshare, with LG, Samsung and Motorola all down. Motorola has gone down the most out of those three companies and Apple has gone up the most.
This isn’t an overall snapshot of how the companies are really doing. This is just in one market, a small one compared to the rest of the world, where it really counts. Next month’s figures may see Apple’s marketshare go up after a rumoured iPhone 5 is released.
