As you may know, Amazon recently held an event in California, where they were expected to announce a new Kindle tablet. Here’s all the information from the event…
Amazon announced three new Kindle Fire tablets at the event, two of which will also be launched in the UK (they were only available in Americas before). The Kindle Fire HD will be available in two versions, one with a 7″ screen, and the other with a 8.9″ screen. The third devices slightly improves on the original, and sells at a cheaper price.
The 7in Kindle Fire HD with 16 gigabytes of storage will cost £159 in the UK, and the lower-end Kindle Fire £129. Both will be available for delivery from 25 October.
The larger HD version will only be released in the US.
Amazon have made an interesting move here, as the larger of the tablets is very close to the iPad, which suggests Amazon is taking on Apple.
