4 billion hours of YouTube content viewed per month

It appears buying YouTube could be the best $1.65 billion Google has ever spent, with the company proudly announcing 4 billion hours of YouTube content viewed per month.

“The video-hosting service is now available on 400 million mobile devices,” Nikesh Arora, senior vice president and chief business officer of Google said. “YouTube is well positioned for today’s multiscreen world.”

“We ended 2012 with a strong quarter,” said Larry Page, CEO of Google while announcing Google’s fourth quarter results.
